1. WHAT TYPE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION DO I COLLECT?
1.1. I collect information that Site Visitors enter on my website, or provide to me directly, such as name, company address, email and telephone number.
1.2. I may collect and store Site Visitors’ comments and feedback; however, I will always ask permission before using any of this information in the public domain.
1.3. I may use analytics software to measure information such as length of visits to certain pages and page interaction information.
1.4. At this stage, I do not undertake specific email marketing campaigns but, should I do so in the future, Site Visitors agree to this use of their data.
2. HOW DO I STORE AND USE PERSONAL INFORMATION?
2.1. Wix.com provides the online platform that allows me to sell my copywriting services.
2.2. Site Visitors’ data may be kept through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store data on secure servers behind a firewall.
2.3. The data that Site Visitors submit via forms on my web site (including name, email address, telephone number) is also stored on a password-protected hard drive. This data is transferred regularly to the BT Cloud storage and backup service.
2.4. Site Visitors’ personal information will be used for the specific reason given in the Contact Form such as a request for a quote for my services.
2.5. When Site Visitors fill in and submit the Contact Form, they are consenting to being included on an email list for future marketing purposes (see 1.4). Also, this data will be stored on a password-protected hard drive and transferred to the BT Cloud storage and backup service.
3. HOW DO I COMMUNICATE WITH MY SITE VISITORS?
3.1. I may contact Site Visitors with information or updates about my copywriting services, to collect fees, to poll opinions through surveys or questionnaires or to discuss an agreement I may have with them.
3.2. For these purposes I may contact Site Visitors via email, telephone, text messages, and postal mail.
4.1. My website tracks personal information using cookies via the Wix provided website.
4.2. Types of cookies:
Session (transient) cookies: These cookies are erased when site visitors close their browsers and are not used to collect information from their computers. They typically store information in the form of a session identification that does not personally identify the user.
Persistent (permanent or stored) cookies: These cookies are stored on a site visitor's hard drive until they expire (at a set expiration date) or until they are deleted. These cookies are used to collect identifying information about the user, such as web surfing behaviour or user preferences for a specific site.
5.2. Changes or clarifications will take effect immediately upon being posted on the website.
5.3. If I make material changes to this policy, I will notify Site Visitors here that it has been updated, so that everyone is aware of what information I collect, how I use it, and under what circumstances, if any, I use and/or disclose it.
6. HOW CAN SITE VISITORS WITHDRAW THEIR CONSENT?
6.1. If Site Visitors don’t want me to use their data anymore or if Site Visitors would like to access, correct, amend or delete any personal information I have about them, please contact me at email@example.com. I will usually respond within five working days.
